Photo Essay: Pink
Colors. They make the world a happier place to be. I’ve already told you about purple – and shared some of my favorite purple macro photos. Now it’s time for pink. Not that I’m a huge fan of pink in general. I’m not the typical pink girl. Combined with darker colors, and in a moderate quantity makes pink more appealing though.
And the kind of pink you encounter in nature, well, that amazes me. Also, I’m in love with my vivid pink top that I wear when running.
What does the color pink mean?
Sweetness, youthfulness, energy, compassion and excitement. Pink is also feminine, sentimental and romantic. It combines the passion of red with the purity of white.
In color psychology, pink represents hope. It also represents the sweetness and innocence of our childhood and our inner child. It’s a comforting color, and it inspires warm feelings.
However, too much pink seems immature, silly and girlish.
Rose pink is often the color of love. Hot pink is passionate and playful. The deeper the shade of pink is, the more passion it has.
Do you like pink? What does it represent for you?
