Photo Essay: Life In The Forest
Nature is full of surprises. It has a million wonders and they are all around us. Every outdoor adventure is a new chance to get some of the random gifts from nature’s inexhaustible gift store. And what we love the most about them is that they are unexpected. Like seeing a mountain goat teaching its calf how to be a pro climber. Like seeing a bear swimming and eating flowers. Like discovering all the small short-lived waterfalls at thaw. Like watching a beautiful sunset at the ocean. Like spotting a double rainbow over the jungle.
But there’s smaller wonders, too. It’s harder to notice them. They are almost too small to see. Like a snail eating a mushroom. Or a bee collecting nectar on a flower. Or water drops on a leaf after a shower. Or a perfectly red mushroom with white dots. We want to show you some of the small wonders we’ve seen on our adventures. So come and walk slowly with us…
Let’s start on the sun-kissed meadows decorated by carpets of wildflowers and buzzing with bees, bugs and butterflies.
Then we are getting in the shade of huge trees. So huge and dense that barely any light reaches the ground. Still life is flourishing there.
Ooops… the rain just started pouring. But it’s just a quick summer shower and the leaves are glittering with water drops in the sunshine soon.
Now that’s the end of our walk. Hope you will join us again soon!
Note: The pictures were taken on our outdoor adventures in Austria and Slovakia during this summer.
