Photo Essay: Blue
Blue is one of my favorite colors. It’s the sea and the sky – endlessness, peace and freedom. It’s a calming color, too. But this time I won’t show you any pictures of skies and seas, it’s time for the next piece of macro photo series – about blue.
What does the color blue mean?
Peace, harmony, trust, confidence, conservatism, cleanliness, intelligence, depression, loyalty, masculinity. Blue is often associated with depth and stability.
In color psychology, blue represents harmony. It reduces stress and creates a sense of calmness. However, being ‘blue’ expresses sadness and depression, as well. Ever heard about travel blues? 😛
Dark blue represents expertise, power, integrity, and seriousness – it’s a preferred color for corporate America. Light blue is associated with health, tranquility and softness.
Do you like blue? What does it represent for you?
