Photo Essay: Autumn Forest
When the sun shines and leaves turn red and golden, it’s time for a hike. Because nothing is more beautiful than the autumn forest. Okay, maybe we change our mind about this every spring, but we change it back every following autumn. The point is, autumn is magical. Especially in a seasonal forest. Let us share some of this magic with you now…
“Autumn… the year’s last, loveliest smile.” (William Cullen Bryant)
“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.” (Albert Camus)
“And all at once, summer collapsed into fall…” (Oscar Wilde)
“How beautifully leaves grow old! How full of light and color are their last days!” (John Burroughs)
“Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons.” (Jim Bishop)
We took these pictures in Hungary, partly in the Pilis Mountains (Danube-Ipoly National Park, Hungary) and partly in the Kőszeg Mountains (Őrség National Park).
