We are sad to see this beautiful summer go. Okay, we usually are. Spring and summer are our favorite half of the year, and we spend as much of it outdoors as we can – often hiking somewhere in the mountains. Just like it happened in August.
Returning to Slovenia. Ever since we’ve been to Slovenia for the first time (and it has already been two years ago), we were so eager to return. Finally we made it happen this August, and Slovenia didn’t disappoint this time either. We explored a barely known region: the Logar Valley and the Kamnik–Savinja Alps – such a tiny country with so many breathtaking natural beauties!
Castle ruins in Slovakia. Though we’ve thoroughly explored the natural beauties of Slovakia in the past years, its cultural beauties have been ignored a bit – and we blame those amazing views of the Fatras and Tatras for that. 😛 But this August we visited two wonderful castle ruins standing on impressive hilltops at picturesque river bends. We were surprised how well-preserved Orava Castle is, and we loved the panorama from Strečno Castle! You can be sure to hear more about them…
