10 Wonderful Memories From Our 10 Favorite Countries

Do you miss travelling? Did you cancel your trip due to coronavirus? We did, too. Well, we postponed it… until who knows when. And we miss travelling badly. It’s not the only thing we miss, but travelling, hiking and spending as much time outdoors as we can was our way to relax and recharge. In the times when we can’t travel and have to spend as little time outside of our house as we can, it’s not an option. If you miss travelling, too, we feel you. Virtual tours are not the same, looking at old pictures is not the same. Yet our pictures make us realize again and again how precious those moments were.

Glacier National Park, Montana

Let’s collect our most beautiful travel memories! Okay, we know it’s impossible, there’s simply too many. But we try to share some wonderful memories from our favorite countries. Just to remind you – and ourselves – that we’ll make memories like these again.

Australia

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, Brisbane, Australia

Hah, a hard one. Such a vast and unique country! But if you’ve ever hugged a fluffy koala, then you can understand that nothing can beat that.

Croatia

Mljet Island, Croatia

Attractive historical towns on the coast, Plitvice Lakes, the Adriatic Sea and Mediterranean sunshine. What not to love about Croatia? And our favorite experience? Visiting Mljet island! Only a few small towns can be found on this green island with a wonderful national park, crystal clear waters, sandy beaches and salty lakes.

France

Château de Chenonceau, Loire Valley, France

Paris is surely one of the most popular cities in the world. But our favorite thing to do in France? It was a road trip in the Loire Valley. We liked the castles, the towns, all the countryside charm.

Iceland

Jökulsárlón, Iceland

Nature. Sorry, we can’t be more specific. Iceland means breathtaking and unspoilt nature to us. Waterfalls, volcanoes, glaciers, fjords, canyons, black and golden sand beaches. Seals, puffins and sheep.

Ireland

Slieve League Cliffs, Ireland

Roadtripping in remote Donegal county! We hiked to the Slieve League Cliffs, chased waterfalls, explored Glenveagh National Park and got soaked at Horn Head. We fell hard for Donegal and it was absolutely worth adding it to our itinerary.

Portugal

Praia da Marinha, Algarve, Portugal

We had our best time in Algarve, the southernmost region of Portugal. Golden sand, crystal clear, emerald green bays, orange, yellow and red limestone formations, caves and arches make its beaches the most beautiful in the world. Period.

Slovakia

High Tatras, Slovakia

If the situation would be different and we’d have the chance to just go to Slovakia for a weekend getaway, we’d surely be busily planning our next hike in the Fatras or the Tatras. Slovakia is such an underrated country. We like its amazing mountains the best, but it also has charming towns, castles and ruins.

Slovenia

Logar Valley, Slovenia

Slovenia is one of our favorite countries in the world. Our best experience was exploring its more remote and lesser-known natural beauties, like Soča Valley or Logar Valley. And meeting its friendly and welcoming locals.

Switzerland

Swiss Alps

We haven’t seen enough of Switzerland during just one week. But we’ve spent our happiest time in Lucerne and nearby on the trail towards Mount Pilatus.

USA

Big Sur, California, USA

The country where our story as travelers and bloggers has started. The country where we fulfilled so many of our dreams during that one year we spent there. The country we miss sooo much ever since. And the best was, of course, California, and being a Californian if only for one year. 🙂
